ACTIVE MATERIAL FOR BATTERY, NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY, AND BATTERY PACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte battery capable of suppressing generation of gas and hardly having swelling of an outer package.

SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte battery is equipped with an outer package, a positive electrode housed in the outer package, a negative electrode which is housed in the outer package so as to be separated spatially from the positive electrode and contains lithium titanium compound oxide particles of which at least a part of the surface is covered with at least one element selected from a group of phosphorus and sulfur or a compound of this element, and a non-aqueous electrolyte housed in the outer package.
