[Also in Division H2] In a domestic mixer-blender the electric motor driving the knives is intermittently operated whereby the mass of rotating material falls back to the knives. The number of cycles of intermittent operation is controlled by a rheostat knob 48 Fig. 1 associated with a timer control circuit (see Division H2). A speed control system is also described in which push buttons 45 select the required speed. Slide switch 47 selects normal or intermittent operation. The timer circuit is initiated by momentary depression of button 46 which starts the motor running for the preset number of operations.
