<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to have linear illumination with a space saved and cost reduced so as to obtain high visual effect, in a linear light source device, a liquid crystal display and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The linear light source device is provided with a light source 2, a band-shaped light guide 3 in which the light source 2 is arranged on an end surface 3a as a light-incident surface and which converts light which is incident and light-guided from the light source 2 to emit linearly from a side end surface 3b as a light emission surface, and a support body 4 with the band-shaped light guide 3 inserted and a groove- or slit-shaped housing part 4a having the side end surface 3b arranged at an opening part formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
