<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control apparatus which produces an appropriate ground tint pattern image by adding a monochrome ground tint pattern even when a color ground tint pattern is set in monochrome printing. <P>SOLUTION: When a color ground tint pattern is set in monochrome printing, and if ground tint pattern color is output in full color, the color is not converted into 100% black. When a force monochrome mode is selected, if the designated ground tint pattern is set to be printed in full color, a user is notified to change a printing mode. Otherwise, the user is notified that the printing mode and the color setting of the ground tint pattern image are inconsistent. Furthermore, the setting for the designated ground tint pattern is changed to the monochrome ground tint pattern, so that the printing may be performed in the monochrome mode using the designated ground tint pattern setting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
