PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of accurately correcting a strain, a method for processing an image and an image capturing apparatus with the image processing apparatus. SOLUTION: When the strain of n-th image is corrected, motion information I<SB>n</SB>indicating a motion for the exposure period of n-th image is computed by using a motion vector M<SB>n-0.5</SB>determined from n-1th image and n-th image and the motion vector M<SB>n+0.5</SB>determined from n-th image and n+1th image.
