<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taping type disposable diaper having a leg-periphery tightening elastic stretching member and a target tape in a wide area while preventing contraction of the target tape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Slender elastic stretching members 13 and 14 are disposed between a back sheet 1 and an outer sheet 12 on both sides of the center line in the lateral direction of the taping type disposable diaper to extend from a region overlapped with the target tape 6 at least in an abdominal region F to a back side region B via a crotch region. In the taping type disposable diaper, the part overlapped with at least the target tape 6 out of the part having the slender elastic stretching member 13 or 14 is an unfixed region in which the back sheet 1 or the outer sheet 12 is not fixed, and the part within the unfixed region in the slender elastic stretching member 13 or 14 is fixed neither to the back sheet 1 nor to the outer sheet 12.
