PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the defocusing of an image without using any AF auxiliary light source. SOLUTION: When receiving an instruction to normally photograph, a light emission control unit 23 controls a flash 24 to preliminarily emit the light before normal-photographing. An imaging system 9 obtains the pre-emission image obtained by the pre-emission, and a face detection unit 36 detects a face from the pre-emission image.
