<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-board equipment preventing the occurrence of a hindrance in a key operation by a driver, even if the equipment is installed in any one of a right-hand drive vehicle and a left-hand drive vehicle, without causing an increase of the number of operation keys due to provision of the operation keys having symmetrically positional relations. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This on-board equipment is provided with the plurality of operation keys equipped on a front panel P and having prescribed initial setting functions, a display 30 and a control means 40 capable of changing and invalidating the initial setting function of a predetermined key of the plurality of operation keys. The control means 40 executes invalidation and consolidation when operations to display a menu for invalidating the functions of the other predetermined operation keys and consolidating the functions of the invalidated operation keys into the other predetermined operation keys on the display 30 and select and execute the menu content by any operation key is performed, when the predetermined operation key is operated.
