<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly start pelletizing of polyolefin by an extrusion pelletizer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a polyolefin pellet includes a pelletization starting process of starting pelletizing of polyolefin by starting operation of a gear pump 6 in a state where the polyolefin with a raised melt flow rate is charged in a screw type mixer 4, a lowering process of lowering the melt flow rate of the polyolefin in the screw type mixer 4 after amount of the polyolefin with the raised melt flow rate pelletized in a unit time exceeds a preset value by successively operating the gear pump 6 after the pelletization starting process and a pelletization process of pelletizing the polyolefin with the lowered melt flow rate by the lowering process by successively operating the gear pump 6 after the lowering process. Thereby, even when the polyolefin has the low melt flow rate, overload to the extrusion pelletizer 1 can be suppressed and pelletization can be smoothly started. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
