Silver/metal oxide compound is obtained by internal oxidation of a silver alloy. It has a working surface with a high metal oxide content and a bonding surface making metallic joining possible either with precious or non-precious materials. The non-precious metal content of the alloy decreases from the working surface towards the bonding surface. Specifically, this content of the bonding surface is between 1 and 6%. |
