PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding-type working gondola easily transportable by one worker and easily installed to allow the worker to work in a standing state. SOLUTION: A work cage 2 is composed of a rectangular workbench 21 for the worker to get on; an upper handrail frame 25 of rectangular shape mounted with a hoisting machine 3 for lifting; folding posts 26 each with an upper link 26a and a lower link 26b foldable at the middle part; an intermediate handrail member 27 connecting the mutual middle connection parts of two folding posts 26; and intermediate handrail members 28 used as guides and arranged at the front and rear of the workbench 21. Two folding posts 26 on both sides of the workbench 21 are connected by the intermediate handrail member 27. In this state, the front and rear intermediate handrail members 28 used as the guides are folded inside, and the upper handrail frame 25 is placed over the workbench 21.
