PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable golf navigation terminal for allowing golf play to smoothly progress. SOLUTION: A portable golf navigation terminal includes: a memory 10 for storing golf course information including golf course position information, hole information, target position information, and obstacle information; a positioning satellite radio receiver 12 for receiving radiowave from a positioning satellite; an external connection part 15 for bidirectionally communicating with an external apparatus; a sensor part 11 for calculating an orientation; and also a calculation processor 7 for performing positioning processing to calculate a current position, communication processing with the external apparatus, processing to indicate the reading/writing of information to the memory 10. The calculation processor 7 calculates the current position, based on signals from the receiver 12, and also calculates a distance to a target and a distance to the obstacle. A display part 8 displays the distance to the target, the distance to the obstacle, and the hole information, and also a sound output part 17 outputs by sound the distance to the target and the distance to the obstacle.
