PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: when operating vector data in component units after releasing grouping thereof, it is difficult to know whether desired vector data is appropriately selected, and since an appropriate circumscribed rectangle according each of the vector data is not displayed after releasing the grouping, visibility is deteriorated when enlarging or reducing it, resulting in deteriorated operability. SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: an illustration region specifying means which specifies an illustration region within an input image; a color region extraction means which extracts a color region from the specified illustration region; a contour line extracting means which extracts a contour line from the extracted color region; a vector data generation means which generates vector data from image data of the illustration region; a type identification means which identifies the type of the generated vector data; and a circumscribed rectangle coordinate derivation means which determines a circumscribed rectangle coordinate according to the type identified by the type identification means.
