PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus able to accurately reproduce the color and density of an image. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes an image carrier 2, an intermediate transfer body 10, a primary transfer means 11 for primarily transferring a toner image on the image carrier 2 onto the intermediate transfer body 10, and a secondary transfer means 12 for secondarily transferring the toner image, transferred to the intermediate transfer body 10, to a recording material P. The image forming apparatus is provided with a toner supply means by which toner corresponding to toner remaining on the intermediate transfer body 10 after the secondary transfer is supplied to a toner image in advance before secondary transfer.
