PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle that can improve the drivability on a road surface of irregular ground and a hard road surface, while securing basic irregular ground running performance. SOLUTION: By forming a tread in a block pattern, the basic irregular ground running performance is secured. If the block height is H, the drop height of a chamfered part 22 is h1, the width of the chamfered part 22 is w1, the circumferential length of a block tread 24 is W, center blocks 14 and second blocks 16, which satisfy h1/H=0.05 to 0.4 and w1/W=0.05 to 0.4, are formed on the tread. In a running state on a hard road surface, the chamfered part 22 of each block comes to contact the hard road surface first, so that ground contact area can be increased, as compared with a case where an edge on which no chamfered part 22 is formed contacts the hard road surface and the drivability on the hard road surface can be improved. Additionally, the resistance that a tire receives from road surface at contacting the ground is reduced on the irregular ground, and running resistance is suppressed which improves the drivability.
