PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by controlling the operations of automatic support device, such as lights, wipers and a night vision camera during traveling on a road with which a driver is unfamiliar. SOLUTION: The controller of the automatic support device for safe traveling includes: an own vehicle position information acquiring part; a travel history storing part for storing the number of traveling times of the road on which the vehicle has already traveled; a determining part for determining whether a road section or a traveling area included in a travel route set in accordance with a destination input by a car navigation system is a road section or a traveling area with which the driver is unfamiliar referring to the travel history storing part; a device control command forming part for changing a threshold for relaxing a threshold for an operation condition of the automatic support device for safe traveling including any one of the light, the wiper and the night vision camera to operate the automatic support device just before traveling the road section or the traveling area when the determining part determines that the driver is unfamiliar with traveling on the road; and a transmitting part for sending a device control command from the device control command forming part to the automatic support device.
