PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer having a set arbitrary amount of a polymerizable functional group in the repeating units. SOLUTION: The polymer is obtained from a conjugated alkenyl monomer having a double bond conjugated with an aromatic ring. The repeating unit contains a double bond conjugated with the aromatic ring. The polymer is obtained from the conjugated alkenyl monomer having via an oxygen atom an organic group at at least one of the ortho- and para-positions relative to the substituting position of a double bond conjugated with an aromatic ring.
