<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation-measuring device capable of measuring the rotation speed of a rotating body requiring no component replacement and maintenance, unaffected by external stress such as vibration, unaffected by the material and surface condition of the rotating body by which the conventional light emitting element and light receiving element are affected, and unaffected by the usage environment filled with dust, ambient light, smoke and the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotation-measuring device moves a wireless tag 2 fixed on a rotating board 4 along near the circumference of the rotating board 4 by the rotation of the rotating body 9, moves alternatingly between the communicable range and incommunicable range of the wireless tag 2 and a reader-writer 3 for the wireless tag, performs wireless communication between the wireless tag 2 and the reader-writer 3 for the wireless tag, counts the reception frequency within a measuring time and obtains the rotation speed of the rotating body 9 from the reception frequency and the measurement time.
