<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water uptake rubber container for a cut flower, the container being designed so that a cut flower can easily be held for decoration in a house, office, or the like, a cut flower can keep its freshness longer, the need to add water to the container and hence time and effort to replace water are eliminated, a flower can easily be held in the container for decoration according to a flower container selected from a variety of vases baskets, and so on, and prevents a cut flower from withering, even if the container is kept lying lengthwise over a long time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water uptake rubber container for a cut flower has a rubber valve 2, in the upper part of a container body 1 that has a shape of a bag made of inflatable rubber, with the rubber valve 2 being able to seal the inside of the container body 1, when the stem 5 of a cut flower is inserted into the rubber valve. It is preferable that a rubber balloon be used as the container body 1 and have a shape of a sake bottle or a long-neck sake bottle. A flange-like upper edge may be formed at the upper end of the container body 1. In addition, the rubber valve 2 may be formed from a rubber sheet of a bowl shape, which has an insertion hole 21 for a cut flower in the middle, and two or more rubber valves 2 may be used.
