<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure reduction valve for achieving the pressure balance of a poppet valve, and for, when a secondary pressure drops almost to atmosphere, or even when a primary pressure rises more than prescription, preventing the valve closing force from becoming stronger due to the primary pressure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This poppet type pressure reducing valve includes: a valve body 11; a primary port 12 perforated in the valve body 11; a secondary port 13 for delivering a secondary pressure; the poppet valve 14 for controlling the flow of operating oil flowing from the primary port 12 to the secondary port 13; a sheet member 15; an operation rod 16 for opening/closing the poppet valve 14; a pressure reception member 17 for energizing the operation rod 16 to the valve closing direction by receiving the secondary pressure of the secondary port 13; a spring member 19 for applying an elastic energizing force to the valve opening direction of the poppet valve 14; and a piston 26 and a spring member 27 configuring a pressure chamber 25 inside the pressure reception member 17.
