摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TFT optical sensor whose optical deterioration is suppressed and which has a long lifetime and simple constitution, and to provide a liquid crystal display device having the TFT optical sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical sensors LS1 to LSn includs thin film transistors using amorphous silicon layers as semiconductor layers 14L1 to 14Ln, and layers 18 made of a material increasing in light transmissivity according to the integral quantity of external light are formed on surfaces of channel regions of the optical sensors LS1 to LSn including the thin film transistors. As the layer 18 made of the material increasing in light transmissivity according to the integral quantity of external light, a layer made of a positive photosensitive resin material is usable.
