<p>An anvil drum for a rotary cutting apparatus having a rotary axis (A-A), comprises an axle (42) on each axial side of the anvil and concentric with said axis (A-A), each of said axles being adapted to receive a bearing (52a, 52b), and an anvil surface (43) substantially concentric with said rotary axis. In accordance with the invention, a reference portion (60), is provided, said reference portion (60) comprising an axial reference surface (62) coaxial to said axis (A-A) and a radial surface (61) perpendicular to said axis (A-A), and in that at least one connection means (64, 66) is provided for connecting a cover member (68) on each axial side of the anvil so as to cover said bearing (52a, 52b), respectively. The invention further relates to an anvil assembly provided with such an anvil drum (19) and said bearings (52a, 52b), each cover member (68) being provided with a blind opening (76) adapted to be arranged coaxially with respect to said axis (A-A).</p> |
