<p>A building unit comprising support members, a layer of glass fibre reinforced synthetic resin material having bonded-in support brackets and a layer of fire resistant sheet material, assembled so that the fire resistant material overlies, but is not directly secured to, one surface of the synthetic resin material layer, the support brackets passing through holes in the fire resistant sheet and fastened to the support members. Support brackets may be metal or plastic (esp. polypropylene), and incorporate expansion loops. The glass fibre reinforced resin is pref. a polyester resin. Permits expansion of glass fibre reinforced material relative to other components.</p> |
