PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or interrupt an ion moving phenomenon occurring in a ceramic glow pin in a glow plug. SOLUTION: Polarity of operation voltage is switched in a current supply period to the glow plug 10. The operation voltage controlled by a clock in a pulse form generated from mounted power source network voltage 13 is supplied to the glow plug, and in this case, a heating time control apparatus 11 supplies the operation voltage. In this case, the polarity of the operation voltage is switched in the current supply period of the glow plug, and a switching device 14 is arranged for switching the polarity of the operation voltage thereto.
