PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless terminal and a communication terminal capable of appropriately controlling the amount of packets stored in a buffer after handover from a first network to a second network. SOLUTION: The wireless terminal 10 includes: a wireless communication part 11 for receiving the packets at a prescribed interval through the first network or the second network; the buffer 15 for tentatively storing the packets received in a reception part; the wireless communication part 11 for transmitting a request to prepare for the handover from the first network to the second network; and an application processing part 16 for reproducing the packets stored in the buffer 15 at a prescribed speed determined corresponding to the prescribed interval.
