PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit/receive signals regardless of whether a housing of a wireless communication apparatus is in an open and closed state, and to simultaneously carry out transmission/reception of a plurality of wireless signals that have low correlation with one another. SOLUTION: When an antenna device is in an open state, switches SW1 and SW2 are electrically opened, and as a result, an antenna element 1 and a ground conductor 3 operate as a first dipole antenna, and a second antenna element 2 and the ground conductor 3 operate as a second dipole antenna with a specified isolation from the first dipole antenna by a non-excitation slit S. When the antenna element is in a closed state, the switches SW1 and SW2 are electrically closed, and as a result, the antenna element 1 and short-circuiting conductors 4a and 4b operate as a first inverted-F antenna on the ground conductor 3, and the antenna element 2 and short-circuiting conductors 5a and 5b operate as a second inverted F antenna on the ground conductor 3 with a specified isolation from the first inverted F antenna by the non-excitation slit S.
