<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tool equipped with a mechanism to change over between continuous driving and single driving automatically, capable of precluding no-load driving in the operation with so-called shift driving, when each fastener is driven with the nose part shifted, while it maintains the condition that the forefront of the nose part to drive the faster is pressed to the material whereto driving is made. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A no-load driving preventing arm 30 is installed between a lower arm 24 and an upper arm 25 to work interlocking with a driver guide 21 in such an arrangement that one end of the arm 30 is engageable with the upper arm 25 and the other end is supported on a shaft 28 provided on the tool body 1 in such a way as turnable up and down. The no-load driving preventing arm 30 is furnished with a seesaw arm 31 swingably in such a fashion that one end of the seesaw arm 31 is engageable with the lower arm 24 while the other end is engaged with the top of a no-load driving preventive pin 32 provided on the tool body 1. The no-load driving preventive pin 32 is supported on the upper part of a slider 33 slidable in the transverse direction interlocking with a fastener pressing pusher 17 when the last fastener in the magazine goes out, the fastener pressing pusher 17 slidable in the transverse direction, and the slider 33 slips off from the preventive pin 32 when the slider 33 slides.
