The magnetic path sensor system has a magnet (4) and a sensor (2), which are movable relative to each other. The sensor has an inner open space (16) enclosing soft magnetic core (6), on which a primary coil (18) and a secondary coil (20) are arranged. The magnet is arranged outside the soft magnetic core for generating a magnetic saturation in the core.
