<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a rolling bearing on the surface of which silver plating is applied using a barrel plating method which can improve the durability by a sliding test. <P>SOLUTION: In this holder for a ferrous metal rolling bearing having a precious metal plated layer on the surface, the precious metal plated layer is formed on a substrate plated layer formed on the surface of the ferrous metal material by the barrel electroplating method. The surface of the substrate plated layer is formed in a smooth surface, and the precious plated layer is directly fitted closely to the smooth surface. In particular, the substrate plated layer has an ionization tendency larger than that of the precious metal on the surface of the substrate plated layer. For example, the precious metal which forms the substrate plated layer is silver, the substrate plated layer is a copper plated layer, and a cavity is absent between the copper plated layer and the silver plated layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
