<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type image display device capable of coping with a conventional usage pattern, while enhancing the effect of cooling optical components by using a heat pump. <P>SOLUTION: In a first cabinet 10, an introduction duct 70 and a discharge duct 80 are arranged besides an optical engine 30 and in a second cabinet 20, a cooling duct 50 and a heat pump unit 60 are arranged. Cooling air which has cooled by the heat pump unit 60 is circulated between these ducts 50, 70 and 80 and the optical engine 30, to cool the optical components in the optical engine 30. The introduction duct 70 and the discharge duct 80 are rotatably connected to the cooling duct 50. The first cabinet 10 is rotatably connected to the second cabinet 20 through the connection parts of these ducts 70 and 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
