<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector in which thermal deformation of a housing for optical components due to light reflected from a dimmer is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes: the dimmer 5 for adjusting the passing light quantity of a luminous flux emitted from a light source 311; an electro-optical device for modulating the luminous flux which has passed through the dimmer 5, according to image information, to form image light; a projection optical device for projecting the image light; the housing 37 for optical components, in which the optical components arranged on an optical path from the light source 311 to the projection optical device are stored and arranged; and a light-shielding member 6 for shielding an upper housing 372 from reflected light L2 reflected by the dimmer 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
