PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently emit light from a slit in a cover member for covering an indication section without use of a high-brightness light source. SOLUTION: A light emitting indicator 3 includes: an indicator body 33 having the indication section 31 formed from a translucent member for cooperating with an indicator attached to a dial plate 2, and displaying the measurement quantity; the cover member 34a formed from a non-translucent member for covering the indication section 31; and the slit 35 formed in the cover member 34a so as to reach an end of the indication section 31, and linearly exposing an upper surface of the indicator body 33, causes the light guided in the indication section 31 to outwardly pass through the slit 35, and causes the slit 35 to emit the light. The light emitting indicator 3 also has a translucent colored member 36 detachably interposed between the cover member 34a and the indication section 31 so as to occlude the slit 35.
