<p>A method of determining the performance of a processor when processing a unit of data is described. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, at a first sample rate, information indicating the performance of the processor when processing the unit of data; generating an identifier that identifies the unit of data being processed; comparing the identifier with previous identifiers at a second sample rate; and outputting the identifier of the unit of data being processed and the performance information when, during the comparing step, a predetermined condition is met.</p> |
