PURPOSE: A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve display quality by applying an active pattern suitable for the switching transistor and the driving transistor. CONSTITUTION: A gate line and a data line(DL) cross each other. A switching transistor(Qs) is electrically connected to the gate line and the data line. A switching active pattern of the switching transistor is made of the amorphous silicon. A driving voltage line crosses the gate line. A driving transistor(Qd) is electrically connected to the driving voltage line and the switching transistor. The driving active pattern of the driving transistor is made of the metal oxide. An electroluminescent device(Qe) is electrically connected to the driving transistor.
