The press has a press frame (10) including upper- and lower frame sections (14, 16), an upper linear drive (18) attached to the upper frame section and a lower linear drive (20) attached to the lower frame section. The drives are connected to upper- and lower punch plates (24, 25) or a die table. The plates have clamping systems (26, 30) for upper- or lower punches. A die clamping system is provided on the die table with a die (38). Force measuring devices i.e. force sensors (46, 48), for measuring the pressing force on the punches are arranged between the plates and the clamping systems. |
