PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to implement a stable address discharge by performing a reset discharge and an erasing discharge after removing a residual wall electric charge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel with a plurality of first electrodes, second electrodes and third electrodes has a reset period, an address period, and a sustain discharge period. The potential reaches a first preset potential that is positive by applying the voltage with a continuously increased value to a second electrode. The potential reaches a second preset potential that is negative by applying the voltage with a continuously decreased value. A third preset potential between 0 V and a sustain pulse voltage applied for a sustain discharge period is applied to the first electrode. When applying the decreasing voltage to the second electrode, the third preset potential is applied to the first electrode. |
