<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of controlling provision of services in an IPv4 network by utilizing a channel authentication of an IPv6 network without using a password or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An end user terminal 20a in the communication system 1 transmits a certificate issue request to a line authentication agency 30 via an IPv6 router 10a. The IPv6 router 10a authenticates whether or not a line identifier included in the received certificate issue request is coincident with a line identifier provided in advance to a line 15a. The line authentication agency 30 receives the certificate issue request from the IPv6 network 50 to issue a line certificate, and transmits the issued line certificate to the end user terminal 20a. The end user terminal 20a transmits the service provision request including the received line certificate to a service provider system 40 via the IPv4 network 51.
