PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level setting device for a paddy field, bringing a paddy field to a dam by temporarily storing rainwater, suppressing rainwater flowing into a river, and capable of suppressing rapid increase of water level in a downstream area. SOLUTION: The water level setting device for a paddy field is so structured that a body cylindrical part is connected to an installed pipe connected to a paddy field drainage part, and the body cylindrical part 2 is made liftable to the installed pipe 6, or the body cylindrical part 2 has a movable pipe 9 which is made liftable to the installed pipe 6, a limit drain outlet part 7 is set on the upper side of the body cylindrical part 2, and a circumferential drain outlet part 8 which is smaller than the limit drain outlet part 7 is set on the circumference below the limit drain outlet part 7. Furthermore, the circumferential drain outlet part or the limit drain outlet part is set as an upper drain outlet part, and rainwater is drained from the circumferential drain outlet part 8 to maintain a water level S, and when an increased amount of rainwater exceeds a drainage amount from the circumferential drain outlet part 8, the water level S increases so as to store an increased amount of water reaching into the limit drain outlet part 7 in a paddy field 1.
