PURPOSE: A height adjusting device for a seat back is provided, which can control height of the seat back according to the figure of a user. CONSTITUTION: A height adjusting device for a seat back comprises a guide rod supporting the back of a user; a first case(100) which is coupled with the guide rod and supports the back of the user; a second case(200) which is detachably inserted and fixed in the first case; an adjusting element which is installed between the first case and the second case and controls the seat back vertically; a plurality of position control grooves which are formed along one side circumference of the guide rod and fit the adjusting element; and a guide rod joint hole(15) which is inserted into and coupled with the guide rod.
