This invention relates to a curing method of oligomers, using metal triflates (trifluoromethanesulfonates), and particularly to the curing of hydroxyl terminated elastomers to achieve crosslinked polyether polymers. The method finds particular use as an alternative cure methodology to replace isocyanate curing. There is further provided a cured and crosslinked polymer binder, which is particularly suitable and compatible for use with energetic materials. There is an independent claim to a composition comprising a crosslinked polyether polymer which includes residual catalytic amounts of at least one metal trifluoromethanesulfonate salt catalyst. |
