<p>Crude Zn oxides containing Cl are purified by mixing wet with alkali or alkaline-earth oxides (Ca(OH)2) (1-5 times the stoichiometric quantity), heating to above 100 degrees C, preferably in presence of steam (20-60 min), and extracting the soluble chloride with wather at >50C.</p> |
