PURPOSE: A navigation and an operating method thereof for predicting a re-search route are provided to search and guide a new route immediately even in high-speed traveling. CONSTITUTION: A navigation capable of predicting a re-search route comprises a route storage part, a predicted deviation point output part, a route searching part, a predicted re-search route storage part, and a route guide part. An operating method of the navigation includes the steps of: outputting the initial point where a route deviation is expected as a predicted deviation point while the vehicle is traveling along a route(S42), reading out a stored predicted re-search route and storing it in the route storage part in the event of deviation(S43), and providing the predicted re-search route immediately to the driver(S46).
