PURPOSE: A method for generating a one time use password using a WIPI standby screen is provided to generate a one time use password on a WIPI platform after downloading an application of the WIPI standby screen. CONSTITUTION: WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) standby screen information is received from an authentication server performing user authentication through comparison of a one time use password(S210). An application of a corresponding WIPI standby screen is downloaded based on the WIPI standby information(S220). The WIPI standby screen is set on a screen(S230). A one time use password is generated by executing a hash function with an authentication key included in the WIPI standby screen information as a seed value on the WIPI platform(S240,S250). The generated one time use password is displayed on one side of the WIPI standby screen(S260).
