<p>Vinyl acetate/vinyl silane copolymers contng. (I) 50 to 99% wt. of -CH2- H- units (II) 1 to 50% wt., pref. 5 to 20% wt. of -CH2- H- units, and (III) 0 to 30% wt., pref. 5 to 25% wt. of (R is C1 to C12 alkyl gp. free from tertiary C-atoms, R' can be R or alkoxy alkyl or aryl radicals, N = 0 or 1, A can be H in which case B is O atom and B' a valence bond or A can be -COOZ' in which case B is a valence bond and B' is O atom and Z and Z' are alkyl radicals such that total no. of C-atoms in unit (II) is >=8). These copolymers have excellent adhering properties to metal surfaces e.g. by the coil coating technique.</p> |
