PURPOSE: A chain, sprocket, a driving system of sprocket, a method for distributing tension applied to chain, and timing system of vehicle are provided to reduce noise caused by a gearing between the chain and the sprocket while reducing the tension transferred to the chain. CONSTITUTION: A sprocket comprises: a plurality of teeth(32) on circumference; and a root radii(R1,R2,R3) arranged into a pattern re-dispersing a tension transferred to a chain(80) by the sprocket(30). An adjacent teeth follows a root(34) which most nears to a sprocket center in a radial direction. A biding surface of sprocket is arranged to bind a link with the chain in a joint with a center axis.
