Optical rolled-strip gauge-control

Equipment consists of a luminous source in a straight line across the rolled product, which source can be a cross strip of the product itself, and a detector of the deviation of the luminous image from its starting point, at least as between the centre and the edges of the rolled product, in terms of the shape of the latter. The signal from the detector actuates a hydraulic control of the bow of the rolls.
