<p>A cylindrical collector chamber is connected coaxially to the end of the screw extruder. This chamber has a sliding plunger whose travel varies the available space in the chamber. The extrusion nozzle is connected at right angles to the collector chamber. The collector chamber is used for intermediate storage of plasticised thermoplastics on intermittent extrusion.</p> |
