PURPOSE: A variable capacitance rotary compressor is provided to facilitate capacity variable control and to increase the cooling capacity reducing rate in a power saving mode. CONSTITUTION: A variable capacitance rotary compressor comprises a casing(100), an accumulator, a plurality of cylinders, an intake pipe, a plurality of rolling pistons, a plurality of vanes, and a mode switching unit. The accumulator is installed on one side of the casing. The cylinders are installed inside the casing. The intake pipe is connected to the accumulator and distributes a coolant into the compression spaces of the cylinders. The rolling pistons compress the coolant. The vanes divide the compression space of each cylinder into an intake space and a discharge space. The mode switching unit selectively supplies the coolant of intake pressure or discharge pressure to the vanes. |
