PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for preventing sleep respiratory disorder and decubitus are provided, which can improve reliability of the operation for preventing decubitus and sleep respiratory disorder. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing sleep respiratory disorder and decubitus comprises a step(S10) for supplying air to the first and second chambers which are divided into the left side and right side inside the pose change mat; a step(S40) for switching the posture into the lateral position by contracting one between the first and the second chamber in the state that a user lies in the pose change mat; and a step(S50) for repetitively switching the direction of the lateral position by contracting and expanding the first and the second chamber in turns.
