PURPOSE: An overturning apparatus for a heavy material is provided to minimize the concentration of stress on the joint of the stopper and the settling surface by transmitting an arm driving force to the lower side of the arm apart from the stopper. CONSTITUTION: An overturning apparatus for a heavy material comprises arms(10), a driving unit, and a controller. The arm comprises a settling surface(12) on which a heavy material is placed, and a stopper(14) which positions the heavy material in the right position. The driving unit applies torque for rotating the arm around a rotary shaft. The controller controls the operation of the driving unit. The heavy material is initially placed in the first row of the arms and in the second row of the arms after inverted.
